Stars, like little cubes of ice,
Seem to chill the air,
Affecting the way I breathe.
Staring into the night sky
I reach up to touch the black silk
Which happily runs above me.
Those around me notice nothing;
No beauty, no inimitability.
They know not what captures me.
I yearn to soar above them,
To reach heights unknown to man,
Though I know I am unworthy.
